Fact: Time flies when you’re having fun and drips like molasses when you’re not.
The years spent at StartupVille must have been somewhere in the middle, because they don’t take up nearly as much of my memory as either of my two previous jobs — and that’s a good thing.
Still, there are a few things worth getting into a bit, such as buying a house, the subprime mortgage crisis and market crash, boredom at the workplace, my relationship with my manager, and the sale of StartupVille.
As always, we’ll conclude with a financial update, which I’ll break out by year because it’s interesting to see the effect the crash plus home purchase had, in concert, on my net worth. Spoiler alert: It’s not good.
